August 2nd proved to be another week of the team taking a big step forward.  After making some adjustments to the whole car again this week, the car is definitely getting close.  Starting 2nd in heat #4, Scott quickly jumped out to the lead.  Scott was able to drive away from the field in picking up his first heat win of the year.  Scott said that’s the best the car felt all year in the heat, where he’s been struggling.

Starting 6th in the feature, Scott took his time trying to work his way up through the field.  Scott at one point was up to 4th place, before the car started getting loose.  Scott lost 3 positions until the last lap restart, where Joey Borich made an inside pass in turns 3 and 4.  Scott ended the night hanging on to 8th.  Car and motor performed a lot better than it has and Scott knows what changes need to be made to try and get the team into victory lane yet this year.

Congratulations to Blane Heimbach for picking up the feature win Saturday night and tying Chad Layton on the all-time win list at Selinsgrove Speedway!
